That's seriously fucked up. Don't take it laying down, is your mom cool? Have her raise a little hell about it in the office, no school system wants to deal with a parent. Period. Don't wanna bring your mom into it? Go straight to the principal and tell him what's going on with your teachers in a calm way (be sure to threaten parental intervention. Again, school districts hate parents and lawyers). It could just be the TUSD in Cali that allow you to have that kind of student-rights, but it's worth standing up for yourself if you're in the right (which you are for the illness especially) so at the very least that shit doesn't stay on your record. Screws up your chances in college and could screw up your chances getting your first few jobs if your employer is a dick.

Hey dost thou get Christmas/Winter/etc. break? If so you should reorganize the collab during then. I think a lot of the other authors will have time to work on their parts also.
By the way, good luck in school. Trust me, it's better to submit to the authority because (I know this sounds gay and condescending) went through the exact same thing and then my parents sent me to a correctional school, which there was no way at all for me to leave. I know it sucks but just hold it out for the long run, it'll be way better.

In my school, the first late gets you one detention. The second late gets you two. The third late gets you three. Can you believe that shit? And then at like number 8 you get in-school suspension. All for lates. Schools are trying to cripple us

Eh fuck school. Education is shit and thats what made me not wanna go to College. I mean it's great for your friends and stuff. But teachers, they dont know jack shit and if anyone calls them on it, they know it and have no choice but to give detention. Also they're just assholes and give attention like you got one when missing there bullshit boring classes where they don't even teach anythin these days. They just hand out books with already pre-setup work.

I guess I was just too much of a square when I was in school but if you were in my school you probably would be getting the same response. I don't think detentions put the same fear they did when I was in High School ten years ago. I think most discipline has gone from working to the lamest joke since time-outs were invented.
